The Presbyterian Children’s Ministry seeks to assist parents in helping children know the character of God and begin a lifelong relationship with him through the Lord Jesus Christ. We do this through Bible study, discipleship from class teachers, and times of worship and fellowship.

Wednesday Nights

On Wednesday nights during the fall and spring, we have a children’s program for pre-K through 5th graders. We meet at First Presbyterian Church from 5:30-6:00pm for a fellowship meal.

This Fall as part of our Wednesday Nights @ FPC, our children will participate in AWANA clubs in order to “provide Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for ages 4-5th grade. As the global leader in child and youth discipleship, Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their  background.”

AWANA is an acronym for “approved workman are not ashamed”, based on 2 Timothy 2:15 where Paul states “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” Much of the time students spend in their classes will be focused on developing a better understanding of the gospel and hiding God’s word in their hearts.

Our students will be participate in one of the following classes: Cubbies (PreK), Sparks (K-2nd grade) and T & T/Truth and Training (3rd-5th grades).
